Our mission is to put young people at the centre of our communities and encourage them to tell their stories by providing both educational and recreational extra-curricular activities. This will encourage them to have limitless aspirations.
Young Beacons aims to encourage positive social action. This will be done through raising awareness of the importance of both education and one's culture. We also aim to affect change in the lives of individuals and in the interest of the community, ensuring that our impact is deep and widespread. It is important to instil a sense of community responsibility within young people so they grow to become active citizens, and we will do this by creating opportunities for them to interact with other people in and outside of their age group.
Specifically, we also aim to promote greater understanding between these different groups through intergenerational work, which we hope will bring about a greater sense of understanding and respect. Consequently, this will equip them with skills to work alongside people from a wide range of backgrounds.
